Try this delicious recipe for leek and parma ham cigars – made with Jus-Rol’s filo pastry, it’s the perfect party finger food and ready in 30 minutes.


Ingredients

  • Small check mark in a circle icon 1 sheet Jus-Rol™ Filo pastry, thawed
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 1 Leek, washed and well trimmed
  • Small check mark in a circle icon Olive oil, for drizzling
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 5 slices Parma ham, each cut into three
  • Small check mark in a circle icon Melted butter for brushing
  • Small check mark in a circle icon Sesame seeds

  • Baking Sheet

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 190°C (170°C for fan assisted ovens)/ 375°F/Gas M5.
  2. Cut Leek in to four lengthways, then each quarter into four, lay on baking sheet and drizzle lightly with butter and bake for 8-10 minutes until lightly cooked. Allow to cool.
  3. Cut pastry into three equal sections across the width to give 3 long strips. Cut these 3 sections into 5 squares.
  4. Wrap a piece of ham around each leek segment and brush each pastry square lightly with butter. Place the wrapped leek diagonally across one square and roll the pastry into cigar shape. Brush again, sprinkle with sesame seeds and bake for 8-10 minutes.
  5. Serve warm with a drizzle of olive oil.
