Petrifying Mummy Pizzas

Cheesy, crispy and creepy, these mummy pizzas couldn’t be easier to make! All you need is a can of Jus-Rol Croissants, some pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese and your favourite toppings. Serve with extra dipping sauce for the ultimate Halloween treat!

Ingredients:

1 can Jus-Rol™ Croissants
140g pizza sauce
9 slices mozzarella cheese, cut into 6 strips each
12 black olive slices or mini pepperoni slices, for eyes

Equipment required:

Pizza Cutter
Baking Paper
Baking Tray
Cooling Rack
Pastry Brush

Method:

Preheat the oven to 200°C (180°C for fan assisted ovens)/Gas Mark 6. Line a large baking sheet with baking paper.
Separate croissant dough into 3 rectangles; press seams together. Using pizza cutter or sharp knife, cut each rectangle crosswise in half to make 6 smaller rectangles in total. Place the rectangles on baking sheet. Bake 8 to 9 minutes or until light golden brown; remove from oven.
Spread about 2-3 teaspoons of the pizza sauce on top of each crescent square. Top each with 9 strips of mozzarella cheese, alternating and overlapping strips to look like mummy bandages. Add 2 olive or pepperoni slices to each for eyes.
Bake 2 to 3 minutes longer or until cheese slightly melts. Serve warm.

Tips:

Serve mummy pizza bites with extra sauce for dipping, if desired.

Flavour these up by adding chopped bacon or pepperoni before adding the cheese.

Spooky scavenger hunt – a simple DIY party game, hide Halloween-themed items around the house and set your scavengers off to find them. Try sneaking items like rubber bats and squishy eyeballs in amongst your decorations to make them trickier to find.

Halloween “Who am I?” – another easy game to set up, grab some post-it notes and write Halloween-themed items, movies or people on them. Then, get everyone to stick one to their head and have the others provide clues to help them guess who – or what – is on their post-it.

Witch hat ring toss – a classic game that’s fun for adults and kids alike, set up your witch hats and try to get the ring on one from afar. Make things more interesting with a frightful forfeit if you miss or a petrifying prize for the winner!
