Halloween Cheese & Chorizo Spider Twists

1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (180°C fan)/Gas Mark 6. Line a baking tray with baking paper. Unroll the puff pastry onto a lightly floured surface.

2. Scatter the grated cheese and diced chorizo evenly over one half of the pastry. Sprinkle with paprika if using. Fold the other half of the pastry over the filling and gently press down. Cut the pastry into 12 equal strips.

3. Twist each strip several times and place onto the prepared baking tray, leaving space between each twist. Optional: brush with the beaten egg.

4. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until puffed, crisp and golden brown. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
